Antoinette and Caleb

I work at Golden Meadows Kennels and I have the opportunity to see many of our puppies and dogs do wonderful things for families and children. But, I never once thought that I would be able to use one for my own family.
My Son Caleb has been fighting sleep for about 2 months. He would be up for hours on end every single night crying and screaming. He showed no signs of having a nightmare nor was he hungry or thirsty. My doctor recommended many different remedies to try on Caleb in order to get him sleeping better, NOTHING worked. Not only did this mean he wasnt sleeping but neither was I.
Finally, Alicia, one of the trainers here, recommended that I bring one of the trained golden retrievers, Antoinette, home as comfort to Caleb. OH MY GOODNESS, she was amazing! Not only did my son have his first full night of uninteruppted sleep in 2 months, BUT Antoinette stayed on his bed all night long. I thought that maybe I just got lucky that night. I decided to bring her home again and got the same results. Ever since I have brought her home for Caleb he has slept like an angel every night. Who knew all Caleb needed was a “mans best friend” to comfort him through the night!
Now keep in mind, if this is something you want to try for your child or recommend to another family, you want to make sure you are using a very well behaved and trained golden retriever. Antoinette has a huge desire to love children, as do most of our golden retreiver puppies.

Puppy Pool Party on the Ranch

Golden Meadows Kennels enjoys play time just as much as training time. We decided to throw a puppy pool party for our trainees. After all their hard work, they definitely deserved it!! Our trained golden retrievers enjoyed playing fetch and diving in the water after their toys. All of our golden retriever puppies are so well behaved and get along with one another. Here are a few photos of some of the trainees playing together in the pools.

If you would like to reserve a trained golden retriever you can do so by filling out our puppy information request form and putting down a $500 non-refundable deposit. Our puppies are trained in obedience training; sit, high five, up-up, down, stay, wait, roll over, dance, walk on leash, they are crate trained, and very well socialized. We do the ENS, Rule of 7, and Von Falconers Way on all of our puppies which makes for a more well rounded dog in the end. You can never go wrong with a golden retriever!!

Golden Meadows Retriever- Happy Halloween

Here at Golden Meadows Kennel we like to celebrate our Holidays with our puppies and dogs. We enjoyed doing a Halloween photo shoot with our golden retriever puppies as well as our Vizslas. Although most of these puppies are already spoken for, we do have other litters available.
